Important Notice from Dr. Hesse:

Dear Patients and Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing closure of our Albany location.  Even though I am grateful the office has exceeded our growth expectations, I’ve realized it doesn’t balance the family time I am missing due to the time lost because to the hour time change and the drive time.  Patients remind me on a regular basis that my children will grow in the blink of an eye and that I won’t be able get that time back.  Looking at my oldest daughter, now 16 years old, my boys at 14 and 11, and my youngest daughter, 6, I realize how true this is and as much as I have enjoyed my practice here, my family is my greatest priority.  It has been a great pleasure providing for your eye care and this has not been an easy decision.

As of December 28, 2018, our Albany office will be closed for patient care.  I hope that you will consider allowing me to continue your care at our Monticello location.   All records will be moved there, and eyeglasses warranties will be serviced in our Monticello location, which is located at 211 Cumberland Xing in Monticello.  The phone number is (606) 348-3355.  Rest assured, whatever your coverage was in our Albany office, it will remain the same in our Monticello location.  Your medical records are confidential, and a copy can be transferred to another doctor should you decide to move your eyecare services to a location other than our Monticello office.  They can also be released to you or another person you designate, but only with your permission.  If you choose a different optometrist or to retrieve your records yourself, please sign the enclosed authorization form and return it to my office as soon as possible so we may transfer your records to your new doctor. 

I have greatly valued our relationship and thank you for selecting our office for your eyecare services.  Best wishes for your future health.  I hope to see you in Monticello soon!
